The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is a short journey away, the nearest village pubs at Aust, Littleton and Olveston. Thornbury is the nearest town; a lovely market town with it's unchanged High Street and Castle - this has some great eateries, Italian, Indian, Spanish Tapas, fish and chips, great pubs and coffee shops amongst others. The town was voted one of the top places to live in the UK (Sunday Times).
The famous Slimbridge Wildlfowl Trust and Berkeley Castle are situated a few miles north of the village of Elberton as is the historical city of Gloucester and it's beautiful cathedral - if visiting Gloucester don't forget the Quays, the Docks and Cow Gelato - amazing, farm-made ice-cream!
Across the old Severn Bridge is the stunning Chepstow Castle (10 mins) and it's amazing history, Chepstow Races - for a great day out watching the horses. The farm is in close proximity to the stunning Forest of Dean. Nearby the Severn Beach train service will take you into Bristol - where to start when it comes to the choice of places to visit in Bristol? Well, there's something for everyone, we have the new Cabot Circus shopping centre which will wow you with it's choice of shops. Bristol Museum, the famous Suspension Bridge built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the SS Great Britain, it's amazing café culture, the Bristol Hippodrome - great for show lovers of all ages, Clifton Village and so much more.
For those needing self-catering accommodation with easy links to local businesses, Avonmouth, Bradley Stoke, Filton and Newport are just a few miles away. Caldicot/Chepstow - are a short hop across the bridge.
